ELIZABETHAN MANOR HOUSE HOTEL SEEKS WEDDING FOR
VALENTINE’S WEEKEND 2009

With Valentine’s Day 2009 falling on a Saturday, Combe House, a wildly romantic  Grade I Elizabethan manor house hotel at Gittisham, near Exeter, is seeking a couple planning to tie the knot on this most special of lover’s weekends. A very warm welcome awaits you at Combe House, Gittisham - a secluded Devon country estate where attention to detail, individuality and a personal service are guaranteed - click here to learn more

When you discover Combe House, a wildly romantic 16-bedroom Elizabethan Manor steeped in history and heritage, hidden in 3500 acres of lush countryside, where Arabian horses and pheasants roam freely, you know you've found 'somewhere different, somewhere special' for your wedding celebrations.

We are fully licensed for civil ceremonies with a choice of 4 elegant rooms to choose from.

There is also the pretty Church of St. Michael's in picturesque Gittisham, once described by Prince Charles as "The ideal English village" - cob and thatch cottages, village green and babbling brook.

After taking your vows or church blessing we can arrange for a horse and carriage to take you up the mile of winding drive to Combe for your reception of 2 to 100 guests or 150 with a marquee on the croquet lawn.

Our Manager, Wedding Co-ordinator and Team give personal attention from the early planning stages through to organising the very finest detail and to supporting you on the day. Our Head Chef also meets up with wedding clients to help create a bespoke menu and Ken will be happy to advise which wines from his cellar would be most suitable to accompany your wedding breakfast and budget.

Mark Lovell, Manager says "Relaxed informality is top of the agenda with emphasis on ensuring you feel totally at ease - almost as if you were having a wedding in your own home, but with all the hard work taken away". Why not come along for a visit. We will be delighted to show you around and discuss what is important to you for your special day.
