The following Terms and Conditions apply to all Accommodation Bookings made on this website, via email and telephone.
In these Terms and Conditions the following definitions apply:
The Agreement is your Booking Confirmation and the Terms and Conditions;
The Hotel is the premises for which your booking is made;
The Booking(s) includes accommodation, meetings and special event bookings made;
The Guest(s) is the person, company, organisation or other body responsible for making the Booking.
Guests may book in advance or on arrival. Rooms are subject to availability and the Hotel reserves the right to refuse any Booking for good reason. Full payment is required on departure. There may be occasions when Guests are required to fully prepay or provide a deposit at the time of the Booking, or on arrival at the Hotel. Deposits paid are non-refundable.
All rooms and rates offered by the Hotel are subject to availability.
Prices include VAT and are subject to change at the discretion of the proprietors. Service charge is always at your discretion and is never included. A minimum length of stay may apply to certain rates.
Certain booking dates require a deposit. Deposits paid are non-refundable, e.g. Christmas and New Year.
Price lists for additional items, such as Restaurant meals and Room Service, are on display at relevant locations within the Hotel and are available on request.
Special rates quoted are subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, offer or promotion. Special rates are non refundable and non transferable in the event of cancellation.
You will be asked to provide a credit or debit card at the time of your Booking to secure your reservation. All major credit cards accepted.
Where a deposit or full payment is required in advance, you are authorising the debiting of the card provided. Deposits paid are non-refundable.
Cancellation / Non-Arrival
Cancellation of accommodation within 7 days of arrival, a charge of the full stay will be made unless we are able to resell the room at the same price.
Cancellation and non-arrival charges will be charged to the credit/debit card supplied at the time of booking.
Promotional and special offer rates are always subject to availability and are non refundable and non transferable in the event of cancellation.
Special Offers ~ Terms & Conditions
All special offer rates advertised on this web site are subject to availability. Certain dates may be subject to a minimum length of stay.
Please note that offers are time specific and do NOT cover all bookings across all periods.
Special offer rates are not transferable to previous bookings.
Promotional and special offer rates are non refundable and non transferable in the event of cancellation.
All rates featured on the Combe House Devon website are offered subject to availability and Combe House Devon reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason.
Depending on the popularity and room availability, special offers may be extended or withdrawn.
Arrival and Departure
Guests may check-in at any time from 2pm on the day of arrival. All rooms that have been secured by credit/debit card or prepaid at the time of booking will be held until 12 noon on the following day.
On the day of departure we kindly ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 10.30am (unless a later departure is stated as part of your Booking). Late check-out after this time can be requested subject to availability and will be charged at an hourly rate at the discretion of the hotel.

The hotel has its own car park. The Hotel does not accept responsibility whatsoever for damage to, or theft from, or theft of, vehicles parked on the hotel premises.
The Companys liability where accommodation is booked for Guest belongings is generally limited under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956.
The Company maintains appropriate insurance cover where the Hotel is liable for any injury or loss or damage suffered by our Guests.
If You Have A Problem
In the unlikely event that you have a problem during your stay you must bring it to the attention of the Hotel management at the time to ensure that we have an opportunity to rectify the matter during your stay.
Use of Personal Information
We do not pass your details on to any third party.
Licensing and Statutory Regulations
The Company, Hotel, meetings and special events within it are subject to Statutory Regulations including those relating to fire precautions and entertainment. The regulations must be strictly observed and a copy is available from the Hotel. The provisions of the Licensing Act 1964 as amended must be observed.
Hotel Proprietors Act 1956
This agreement does not affect any rights, which the Guest may have under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956, where this act applies.
The Hotel cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of the contract is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to "force majeure". Circumstances amounting to "force majeure" include any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your accommodation (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your stay) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity, epidemic and all similar situations beyond our control.
While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on this website the Company does not accept responsibility for errors or ommissions and reserves the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the agreements featured on this site without notice.
